September 2026 Update:
Hello Friends,
Just like that, here we are in the early days of another fall season and new school year. To be honest, I was anxiously awaiting this time as summer was wrapping up. So much of the last year has been in prayerful development for relaunching ministry at Borah and Timberline. So to finally be in the days where we are activating volunteer leaders, making connections at the schools, and meeting new kids feels so fulfilling.
I find my heart is deeply bent toward these schools, and every person that walks the halls. There is a real sincere compassion and vision for how Jesus can transform their lives, and I believe Young Life is such a great platform for that to become a reality in every junior high and high school in the Boise area. So I’m honored to stand with a growing community of amazing volunteer leaders as we pursue students in the Borah and Timberline schools.
Speaking of volunteer leaders, our team at Borah High School is walking out such a faithful path for reaching a new generation of students there. Every week for the past month, our team has been showing up consistently, meeting new kids, trying to remember their names, and grow in relationships. It is the slow and steady work of laboring with the Spirit of God for the harvest that is to come. At this reading, our team has already met over 100 unique kids by name, and we hope that number will triple before the end of the fall semester. Please pray for our team as we continue to take steps of meaningful connection on the campus of Borah.
There are many ways I’m hoping to see God show up this school year. These are still the early years of a larger redevelopment vision for Young Life in South and East Boise, and the needs for more leaders, financial provision and connections across different spheres of influence are still high. In the midst of everything beginning to stir, I’m gripped by the promises of a faithful God to come through and supply every need we have in its proper time. And I’m grateful for your partnership in this vision!
With that, let me offer a huge THANK YOU for your support! I couldn’t do this without you, and you deserve to share in the joys and victories of this new adventure. I’m looking forward to sharing more highlights of the new school year with you soon.

SE BOISE YOUNG LIFE BOOSTER TEAMS
One of our more pressing initiatives as we launch new ministries in the Borah and Timberline areas is the development of neighborhood BOOSTER TEAMS.
These are networks of caring adults who PRAY, PROVIDE and PROMOTE the work of Young Life, supporting volunteer leaders and being a crucial sustaining presence in their local school area. Stories of Impact
Going into high school, I felt incredibly lonely. I had lost all my friends and ended up in a group where I didn’t fit in. Most of my time was spent working or sleeping, and even though I went to church on Sundays, I felt far from God. I didn’t share the same values as the people around me, and I was missing real community.
I had been to Young Life a few times before, so I decided to give it another shot. The first time I came back, I felt genuinely welcomed. I didn’t really know the leaders, and I only knew a handful of students—but something was different. As I kept going, I made friends who actually wanted to be around me, and those friendships carried over into school. I started following God more closely, too.
Young Life quickly became a huge part of my life. Mondays were the best days of the week—and they still are.
This past summer, I went to camp for the first time. When people say it’s “the best week of your life,” they’re not kidding. I felt so much peace being in nature with people I loved and who loved me. We did daily Bible studies, and club at camp felt like a normal club—just amplified. That week changed my life.
Looking back, I can see that my season of loneliness was actually a season of growth. It taught me that God is always a God who moves toward you.
So seriously… come to Young Life!

As we press forward in 2026, we’re praying big, bold prayers for Young Life in the Borah and Timberline areas — that more kids would be reached, more leaders would step into the mission, and more schools would experience the hope of Jesus through Young Life. Please join me in prayer over these
2026-2027 goals:
Launching new ministries: Borah Young Life, and Timberline WyldLife or Young Life
Develop a healthy network of support through local booster teams of caring adults who PRAY, PROVIDE and PROMOTE the work of Young Life in their neighborhood.
Recruit and develop teams of volunteer leaders to walk alongside students in newly developed ministries. Current needs:
Borah Young Life — 2 more male + 1-2 more female leaders to match the growing ministry momentum
Timberline — a full team (Young Life: 8 adults, or WyldLife: 4-6 adults + student leaders)
Borah WyldLife — a full team of 4-6 adults + student leaders
Financial Needs: $2,500 in club start up costs | $500 in monthly giving
Grow our Local Board by adding TWO new members from each school community (Borah and Timberline; at least 4 total)
Strengthening our partnership with local churches, working together to bring the hope of Jesus to every campus
Increase personal monthly giving by $500 / month
